MCP connector

Let your AI read your books directly, with no files to download.

MCP is an open standard that lets an AI assistant connect to your apps.

1 · Add the connector

Add the connector address to Claude. Add it on the web or desktop app, and it also shows up in the phone app.

2 · Sign in

Sign in with Google or GitHub when Claude asks. The account is free.

3 · Ask for a chapter

Name your book and ask for a chapter. Claude checks your book list first.

What Claude can do with the connector

  • List your books.
  • Open one book: its rules, its file list and the files marked "read always".
  • Read one file of a book.
  • Save the decisions file of a book. This replaces the old decisions file.

Examples

  • "List my books."Reads your book list. Changes nothing.
  • "Write the next chapter of <your book name>."Reads your book files. Saves the decisions file at the end.
  • "Read the style file of <your book name>."Reads one file. Changes nothing.

Good to know

Name your book in every request, so Claude picks the right one. Or ask Claude to list your books and choose from them.

Does it work with other AIs?

In theory, yes. Any AI app that supports MCP connectors should be able to use it. It has not been tested yet, so only Claude is tested so far. If you use another AI, your files go to that company instead, under its own privacy policy.

What it reads

Your book's files: lore, characters, narrators, style and rules. This includes parts you handed to the AI, which stay hidden on screen.

What it writes back

One decisions file per book. Claude saves it at the end of a chapter round and reads it back at the start of the next one. It stays hidden on screen, and it is also part of your export.

Your data

When you use the connector, Claude reads your book files through Ittrium Lore. This includes the hidden parts, which are sent to Claude but never shown on screen. Claude is run by Anthropic, and Anthropic handles your data under its own privacy policy. Nothing goes to Claude through the connector unless you use it.

Disconnect: remove the connector in Claude's settings. You can also delete your books and account in Ittrium Lore.

More in our Privacy policy.

Not using Claude?

Or use the files route: export your book and upload the files by hand.

How it works

Questions

Can it delete my books?

No. Claude cannot delete books or files. The only thing it can write is the decisions file of a book. It replaces the old one, and a save based on an old version is refused.

Does it cost anything?

No. Ittrium Lore is free. You need a free account.

Can Claude see the parts I handed to the AI?

Yes. Claude reads them to write your chapter. They are never shown on screen.

What if I mistype a book name?

The connector refuses a name that does not match exactly. Claude should then ask you which book you mean.
